5th January 2011 Yeah, our very own Form 7S student, Ng Yee Man (Venus), was proclaimed Champion of the Group 2 category of Columbia International College of Canada’s English Writing Competition held last year from 1st September to 20th October. Venus’s ‘creative Canada story’ entitled “My Canadian Time Capsule” was selected from over one hundred Senior entries going into the final round. Well done Venus. We’re proud of you. Thank you for sticking to the challenge and getting your essay done and submitted on time despite the pressures of exam preparations and other school commitments. So, anyone like to guess what the Top Prize is? It’s a trophy AND……… a certificate AND……. a 3 Weeks Summer Camp in Canada to the value of CA $3,180 (about HKD $21,000). Wow! That’s fantastic. Yeah!. The English Writing Competition for a Creative Canada Story was established by Columbia International College of Canada to showcase student’s talents in English writing and to encourage students to experience the magic life of Canada. Columbia International College of Canada, one of Canada’s top private boarding and university preparatory schools, organised the competition for all students in Hong Kong.
