發展目標

Objectives

  • To cultivate students’ interest in English through interactive lessons and activities.
  • To develop communication skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking in English.
  • To develop students’ thinking capabilities.
  • To help students familiarize with TSA and DSE exam structure and requirements.

Exchange

  • West Jessamine High School welcomes us with a big sign near outside the school.
  • Students get to visit the famous Derby Museum and Keeneland Race Track in Kentucky.
  • Students have so much fun with the host families.
  • Students are enjoying their first local barbeque under the sun.
  • Our students go to classes with their host students. This is the Education Class where students learn to be a teacher.

Students solve a crime

  • Students use English to work out clues to find out who committed the crime.
  • Looking for clues. How was the crime committed?
  • Form 1B students doing group work in English with Mr. Tse
  • Form 1 students work together to look for clues to help them solve the crime.
  • Form 1 students in the Student Activity Centre doing group work in English.

Speech Festival 2018-19

  • Form 1AB Students show off their certificates for having come 2nd in the 70th Hong Kong English Speech Festival, Mixed Choral- Speaking category.
  • Form 2 participants in the 2018 Yuen Long Speech Festival receive their Bronze Award Certificates.

Wednesday Cafe

  • Ms Lau and Ms Kwun organize the student staff behind the Café We Can counter.
  • Students work on their Latte art skills.
  • Students listen to the instructors and learn the best way to make a latte.
  • Students brewed their own coffee and created their own surface designs.
  • 2C students show off their origami skills!
  • Ms Li Ka Wai teaches junior form students origami at lunchtime in the English Corner.
  • Form 3 students play turbo- scrabble in the English Corner at lunchtime.
  • A big crowd of students watch the English language movie Moana in the English Corner at lunchtime.
