In recent years, our English Department has organized numerous programmes for our students to explore their interest and potentials in English.
Reading Award
We believe that reading is the foundation of acquiring knowledge. The department has been placing a lot of effort into encouraging our students to be independent readers. Starting from 2019-2020, we have implemented a reading programme in our junior LAF (Language, Arts and Foundation) curriculum. Our students can choose books that are suitable for their levels and interest them most.
At the end of 2021-2022 school year, 28 students from S1 and S2 were nominated for the Best Reader Award. Congratulations to these devoted learners!

English Debate Team
It is our first year to organize English Debate activities. We had organized an online friendly English debate competition with Shau Kei Wan East Government Secondary School. 3A Qu Sui Wing and 3B Ho Ho Chung have received a participation certificate and 3B Ali Haider is awarded as the ‘Best Speaker’.
Creative Writing
We believe that making English learning enjoyable is important. Therefore, we have organized a creative writing programme for our students to create short stories and share them with their peers. By the end of the programme, these students are awarded for their amazing work.
