Sharing use of IT in English classroom at NET Section EDB Cluster Meeting

The use of information technology in education has been a prominent topic in recent years. Our school has been making use of it widely to promote teaching and learning across various subjects. The English Department had the honour to be invited for the second year to share our e-learning journey at the Regional Cluster Meeting by the NET Section of the Education Bureau.

In the seminar, Ms Mak Wai Chi Opatra, the English Panel Vice Chairperson, shared how our students can use the language to cultivate their creativity in different ways with the use of e-learning. Mr Chan Chi Wai Elvis, the English E-learning Coordinator, introduced the strategies and classroom practices that has helped students to learn by maximising the benefits of mixed-mode learning, while Miss Man Lai Shun Kascy, the S1 English Coordinator, shared how e-learning can be used to cater for learning diversity.

The teachers have also exchanged insights on how e-learning can increase teaching and learning effectiveness in the future. Our school looks forward to more opportunities for teachers to share their experience and knowledge with others.
